The Canossian Daughters of Charity were founded by St. Magdalene of Canossa in Verona, Italy, in 1808. Deeply moved by the suffering and ignorance of the poor, she began her mission of education and service to uplift lives through love and compassion.
From Verona, her message spread throughout the world. Today, the Canossian Sisters continue her mission by educating minds and touching hearts in numerous countries. Canossa High School, Mahim, is one of these institutions — devoted to fostering wisdom, service, and faith.

Rooted in India
The Canossian Sisters arrived in India in 1889, beginning their first mission in Madras. Gradually, their presence expanded to Mumbai, Coimbatore, Mangalore, and other parts of the country.
Through their schools and social institutions, they empower the young — especially girls — by providing quality education and moral values. Today, Canossa High School, Mahim, proudly carries forward this enduring legacy of faith, courage, and compassion.
