Handwriting Competition
On 28th June 2025, Canossa High School, Mahim celebrated a joyful "Happy Saturday" with a Handwriting Competition for Std. 5 to 10. Held in English, Hindi, and Marathi, students showcased their best writing skills.
Two winners per class were awarded certificates for neatness and presentation. The event encouraged focus, discipline, and the value of good handwriting — a timeless skill that speaks volumes about a student's character and dedication.
Quantum Science & Technology
While the school campus remained quiet on 5th July due to the Annual General Meeting (AGM), learning didn't pause for the students. As part of the Happy Saturday initiative, students were given an exciting opportunity to explore the fascinating world of Quantum Science and Technology from the comfort of their homes.
Each class teacher shared two informative videos on the topic with their respective classes. These videos were carefully chosen to suit the understanding level of the students while introducing them to the intriguing concepts of quantum physics — a subject that is shaping the future of technology, from quantum computers to secure communications.
The initiative aimed not just to provide screen time but to spark curiosity, inspire questioning, and connect students to real-world science. Girls were encouraged to watch the videos attentively, take notes, and reflect on what they learned. To assess understanding and reinforce learning, a quiz was conducted on Monday (7th July) in all classes by the respective class teachers.
This meaningful initiative helped bridge learning with innovation and demonstrated how education can thrive beyond the classroom walls — a celebration of science and a reminder that learning can be joyful, flexible, and deeply impactful.
Best Out of Waste
As part of the Happy Saturday initiative, Canossa High School transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary with a Best Out of Waste competition held on 12th July 2025. Open to students from Standards 5 to 10, the event became a beautiful platform for young minds to creatively address real-life problems — using nothing but discarded and waste materials.
The school campus buzzed with energy and excitement as students brought in their innovative models, each reflecting thoughtful solutions to everyday issues. From household utilities to environment-friendly devices, every article echoed the students' concern for sustainability and the power of imagination.
